Waianae Watershed Management Plan
The Waianae Watershed consists of a 58.5 square-mile area west of the Waianae Range from Nanakuli to Kaena Point. There are nine ahupuaa within this watershed: Nanakuli, Lualualei, Waianae, Makaha, Keaau, Ohikilolo, Makua, Kahanahaiki, and Keawaula. Where does Waianae's water come from? Waianae receives 20 to 75 inches of rainfall per year; only the summit area of Mt. Kaala receives the highest amount.
